Not really sure I'm half way up (or down depending on your point of view) Devonshire Road. Iv'e always thought of myself as FH since thats where I tend to shop, but I do occcaionally use the take away facilities near HOP station

I cling onto the edges of FH - up by Wood Vale.

HOP here, though I'm another "halfway up the hill" case, but more like three quarters.

The post office definitely thinks I'm Forest Hill in all those automatic find your address from the postcode things and I keep changing it to Honor Oak.

However, there's also a fine distinction between Honor Oak and Honor Oak Park. I'd welcome a discussion on exactly what the difference is, but I always say Honor Oak, without the Park. However, one wouldn't want to be confused with the Honor Oak Estate, which is halfway to Nunhead!

Ok, from the map posted by Ghis, it would seem that the One Tree Hill area and the top of Devonshire Road are Honor Oak and from the station to the other side of Stillness is Honor Oak Park.

Honor Oak Park Estate is definitely in Brockley! (they can have it!).

What do you call that bit that goes from the top of Wood Vale to the start of Peckham Rye? Its official name is Forest Hill Road and it contains the Forest Hill Tavern.....

I'm voting elsewhere - see discussion on the other thread on Park or not Park...

Where I am in Wood Vale, my postcode is Forest Hill, my telephone exchange is Dulwich, my council is Southwark - hence why I feel that I cling onto edge of se23!

Forest Hill, but starting in January the kids are in nursery and reception in HOP, so will be commuting from HOP station as well. I may never see Forest Hill town centre again.

This is nice, but can I ask where this thread is leading?

Does it really need to? Not all threads can be quite as engaging and useful as the "I'm not a plumber, but this is how you calculate flow rate" discussion on the other side you know!

Just like London buses, you wait for an hour to respond to a post, then suddenly they all come at once!

:D
