There's a large tree down in the road on Sydenham Rise, which has crushed a parked car on the Triangle Park side of the road near the bus stop, so please avoid the area if you can - some pretty stupid "driving-up-on-the-pavement-whilst-photographing-the-fallen-tree" going on out there... Crazy behaviour.
And why people think that beeping a car horn constantly will make any difference in a situation like this is beyond me.
I don't think the tree can hear it.
It's been reported, Highways have put some cones out (they are obviously dealing with a lot of similar incidents today) and Glendale are on the scene, but i'd advise take a different route if you possibly can.

Road now clear, and well done to the muppet in the white van (quelle surprise?!) who drove right through the area coned off by the tree surgeons whilst they were trying to work in difficult circumstances. Thought twice about getting out to start an argument after the tree surgeon told him his fortune when he saw the chainsaw being wielded mind you... Road was closed for all of 15 minutes, but he just couldn't wait. Tw*t.
