There was a predicted frost overnight Wednesday 28 to Thursday 29.
The roads and hills in the very hilly Tewkesbury Lodge Estate weren't gritted and at 10 am on Thursday I nearly slipped over in the middle of the very flat (!) road outside my home. Grrr.
The least worst way of escape, in terms of hill, from the area is via Langton Rise which was very very slippery.
The gritters were out last night though.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, totally agree, the road surface and pavements on Canonbie were also exceptionally slippery both in the morning and returning in the evening as well. The gritter finally made an appearance at about 10pm (twice).
What road are you on and did you call the council's out of hours service on 8 314 6000 to inform them of the conditions you experienced?
