We are updating our Constitution. This is for a number of reasons - we wanted to make certain parts clearer, such as in respect of voting, dissolution and financial responsibilities. We have suggested a different number of committee members/structure and general meetings to allow flexibility, although our intention is to keep broadly to the same number of members and meetings as we have had in previous years. Many of the changes are simply tidying things up, making it look pretty and providing consistency in respect of definitions/terminology.
The current Friends committee, plus other regular attendees to our meetings, have provided input into the current draft. Please email Ellie at secretary@blythehillfields.org.uk for a copy. Alternatively, we have uploaded the draft to our Facebook page.
If you have any comments about the draft or would like to discuss it further, please contact Ellie at secretary@blythehillfields.org.uk.
Assuming we have a final/agreed revised Constitution, we will then vote to adopt the revised draft at the next Friends General Meeting at 7.45pm on 19 October 2016, upstairs at the Honor Oak Pub SE23. The AGM will then take place at 8 pm on 19 October.
Please do come along if you can. All welcome!
