Its become a familiar sight in the skies over London, but we rarely give a thought to what its doing or who its saving.

On the way home tonight I heard on the radio they are facing a funding shortage, and this "may" result in the loss of their service over weekends.

Personally I think it has become an essential service to Londoners, so have set up both a Facebook group and a Just Giving page, to allow people to help support our air ambulance.

If you are interesting in donating or supporting please follow either of the 2 links below.

One landed in Mayow Pk about 5 years ago to make a pick up.
It landed in the lower field after first circling the playground for a few minutes. I assume that was to cleverly draw people away from its intended landing zone.
Quite exciting and not something you see every day.

Just pointing out that they do make local stops in emergencies as well.

Yup saw it landed in Mayow Park a few years back, and behind Forest Hill Boys when the child fell from the flats a couple of years back.
Oh and about 5 years back in Sydenham when someone was hit by a car and trapped in a doorway on the high street.
Its amazing to watch and hard to imagine life without it these days.
