My stepdaughter is looking at a property in church rise area missed out on one but keen to know what the area is like etc..I assume as lewisham planning has no development applications the area is not going to have a motorway through it ☺
Any advice etc gratefully received..

Any specific questions about it, and which side of the hill, South Circ or Perry Vale end?
Been on the road for 30+ years so know it quite well.

Yup, know where you mean
Anything specific you wanted to know or just general stuff?
I have always found it a lovely street to live on. Kids play out safely, neighbours interact, well some anyway. Long established people living on the street. Usually pretty clean, not too loud or busy. A few places have lots of comings and goings, but generally nice.
Used for commuter parking for the station, can make parking awkward for some. Busy child care place at the end of the road, also used as a little bit of a rat run at rush hour, not too bad though. And a primary route over to Perry Vale for the fire engines (not regular)
Dunno what else you might want to know, other than 2 new developments on their way, inc #2 Church Rise

Thanks Snazy
That supports general feeling we had. Didn't think about commuters parking but assume it's concentrated at the lower end.
Sounds ideal let's hope all goes well, thanks

The commuter parking is the whole length of the road, those parking by the cross roads use South Rd, Church Vale, those at the Perry Vale end use Perry Vale, and those at the Waldram end use the main road. Starts about 7am. Some of it is quite selfish too, as commuters do.
Thankfully I have off street parking so unbothered by it usually.
