DULWICH & DISTRICT U3A OPEN MEETING
The Development of Public Broadcasting: who are the opinion formers?
A talk by Dr Kenneth Wolfe
Wednesday 20 April 2.00-4.00pm
Linbury Room, Dulwich Picture Gallery,
Gallery Road SE21 7AD
Kenneth’s academic research is in the field of philosophy and religion, which he has taught throughout his career.
Recently he has organised some stimulating lecture series, both at his school and the Dulwich Picture Gallery, where some of our most eminent broadcasters have spoken and discussed their roles.
Kenneth will remind us of the relatively brief history of broadcasting – from the birth of the BBC to the multi-channel media available today, and outline the implications of the decline of religious institutions identified in his research.
All members and friends welcome
Tea available in the Gallery Café or in the Village
P4 bus stops outside Gallery
West Dulwich or North Dulwich Station nearby
We now have over 60 interest groups and monthly talks on a wide range of topics.
