Road closed at the bottom of Perry Rise because of a water leak. Traffic cannot enter the traffic lights at the junction with Perry Hill from Perry Rise.

Still closed. Still leaking. No workers though. Just a water feature with an occasional fountain.

This explains why I am seeing 356 buses in Woolstone Road.

The photographs do a good job of showing the chaos, but don't really reflect what an impressive gusher this leak is!!! Ohmy

Complete chaos there today, as there are now temporary traffic lights and all approaches are down to one lane for no apparent reason (other than a shortage of temporary lights I presume). Tailbacks stretching as far as the eye can see towards Sydenham and queues to enter Sainsbury's by the garage.

Still no work ongoing, but there are now two empty holes, rather than one hole filled with water.

This is still ongoing. There now seems to be a gas leak.

That is shocking, what a mess. I walked past there yesterday and there were workmen there - it was nothing like that youtube video so hopefully something is being done to fix it!

Is this the same section they coned off before half term and bumbled about in?

Not sure. I've lost track of time.

It's still closed. We still have a car every minute coming down our road...

No info from anyone regarding it either.

Does make you wonder how repairs are prioritised.

It's frustrating that SGN don't have a searchable database of current issues and repairs on their website, unlike Thames Water. However, their Twitter team is fairly responsive - has anyone asked them?

A neighbour told me had spoken to a man from SGN, who said they were waiting for Thames Water to fix something before he can fill the hole... A few days ago...

This morning it looked like they'd mostly filled it in, and were just waiting for the concrete to cure. Have they dug it up again?

To be honest, I haven't been close enough recently to check the depth of the hole, but the road is certainly still blocked off. I do hope they are filling it in and it doesn't take too long for all these drivers to forget their habitual rat-runs.

In that case I think you'll find there ISN'T still a hole in the road. There was a lot of activity over the past three days and I'm pretty sure the hole is now filled, although the concrete still looked set when I went past yesterday morning.
