Something needs to happen. All faith in them has been lost from my point of view.
I get the impression even the staff hate working for them.
...on the positive side the service is great for people who find it hard to get up in the morning...as my train is often still to-arrive when I rock up 10mins late(!)

Tincan, I find myself getting on a train that is advertised as earlier than the one I was expecting. It's nice to get on the 9:07 at 9:16 whilst the 9:15 is still no where to be seen. I still seem to get to work late. Very confusing

It is very good news and sensible. But it will take a long time to come to full fruition as they have to wait for franchises to come to an end - which for Southern / Thameslink is 2021. I hope that doesn't mean stagnation in the interim period.

At least it's only two years before TfL take over services from Lower Sydenham, Catford Bridge and Ladywell.
The Hayes line during evenings and Sunday's has the worst train service in the area bar the Thameslink service from Crofton Park.
