This area is gentrifying. There are aspirational people moving in and buying homes - making a long-term investment in the area - yet there is no one in the council that represents us. There is so much fuss made by renters and council tenants, and the handwringing lefties that are co-dependent on them. But what about the rest of us? People who have used their life savings, and the next 25 years of earnings to invest in this area by buying a (single) home? Labour does not speak to me. All I hear from them is vitriol about people like myself who want to succeed in life, as independently of the state as possible.
Yay! Class war! Bring it on! We hand-wringing lefties are up for it!
