Hi,
I am wondering if the council will do a Xmas tree collection? I do not own a car so I am limited on ideas on what to do with our christmas tree...

Thank you. Do you think it will be acceptable to get the tree on public transport? I don't know how I can transport a tree with no car

If the recycling point is in walking distance, it's within tree-dragging distance. They are surprsingly light.

I notice the official list doesn't mention Blythe Hill Fields, Codrington Hill entrance, which would be best for me. A few trees are there already, but is this not an official site this year? It was last year.

No Blythe Hill Fields is not on the list this year but I have also noticed some trees already there. I suggest we don't add to the pile. Nearest is Hilly Fields.

Judging by the amount of trees already there, I think Blythe Hill will be a pick up point!!!!
Why is it not on the list this year??? People obviously assume it is, as it has been for the last few years.
Artificial tree person myself, so not guilty

We have recently moved into the area, and surprised that the Council does not collect from the kerbside as Lambeth does. It can be a major hassle getting to a 'recycling point'.
How difficult could it be to collect all the trees on nominated days (perhaps the same day as regular waste collection)?
I wonder if the trees are eventually burned in the South East London Combined Heat and Power plant?
I have dropped a line to one of our councillors.

The trees are chipped and reused in the parks.
