Running for local Councillor

Unfortuately, think that councillors have very little influence as we now have a directly elected Mayor. My recollection is that it takes a two thirds majority to reverse the Mayor's decisions. This is very unlikely to happen.
Perhaps you should start with a Forest Hill pressure group.
