There's been no U turn in their decisions on funding local authorities and the Tory councils are as up in arms as Labour. Still - we're all in this together.

Maybe, yet I asked about tax credit cuts - after looking again, it appears these will all be resolved into one universal credit in 2020
Now im not against anyone getting a helping hand when in dire need - yet when i received my tax report last week, it stated that for every £1 i earned, i paid out 24p in tax or national insurance, then when i get home, i see people who i know who are getting loads of benefits sitting in the pub having a good time, which does make you just a tinny bit annoyed

ForestHillier, count yourself lucky that you're deducted only 24%. The less fortunate people with a taxable income of £1 million have an effective tax rate of 45.9%.

which would leave them with approx 500,000
after my 24% has gone, i have £1500 a year for fares plus £1500 service charge
so yes im very lucky

Yet I have to say that the 70s were the best days of my life [ well not in a finance way or that good for the UK ] - yet the times were very special, maybe thats the trick - have s*d all in the way of money yet have magical times
