Please come along to the Friends' AGM 2015! The meeting is open to all.
7.30 pm, upstairs at the Honor Oak Pub.
At the meeting we will have a recap of the past year's events and we will decide how the surplus from the Festival will be spent. We will also begin to plan for the continued improvement of the park's biodiversity and green issues and next year's festival. Please come and share your opinions and your priorities for the infrastructure of the park.
Also the managing Committee for the year ahead will be voted upon. We very much welcome new members to join and get actively involved. In particular, we are looking for a new Secretary and a Treasurer. So if you're interested, and would like to know more, please contact our Chairman James Cross.
We meet upstairs at the Honor Oak Pub. We look forward to seeing you then.
If you are interested in running for the post or secretary or treasurer, or would like to raise an agenda item, please email James and Nicholas at secretary@blythehillfields.org.uk
We are writing to update you following the AGM on 21 October. The highlights are as follows:
- We raised just under £3,000 at the Festival, which is phenomenal. We would like to thank everyone who was involved in the planning and those who came on the day. Without you all it would not have been such a success.
- We are looking to obtain match funding so that we can fund as many projects on the Fields as possible, such as the installation of 7 Broxap (fox-proof) bins, new signs etc.
- There will be a further round of tree planting in March 2016.
We've attached a note of the meeting and also the accounts for 2014-2015, which provide more detail.
There will be a short Friends meeting at 7.30 pm on 26 November, followed by a festive drink from 8.30 pm. We meet upstairs at the Honor Oak pub. Please come and join us!
