Re the secondary part of this thread - this has been mildly entertaining to watch but, for Pete's sake, why would someone who's serious about settling somewhere not spend a fair amount of time walking around the place, getting a feel for the area and the amenities and actually talking to people instead of going about it in this way?

Or is it just me, being behind the times?
