Love Lewisham / Fix my Street

I used to use the Love Lewisham app on my phone to report problems like fly-tipping but the app doesn't seem to be available at the moment, I know you can still report via the Council website but the thing I liked about the Love Lewisham site was that there was a map with photos so you could see if the issue had already been reported (and therefore save yourself time) and also it was much easier to use with an app rather than having to load a website up.

However I've now discovered Fix My Street which seems similar and judging by the number of SE23 reports on there seems to be fairly well used, plus there is the app option.

Just thought I'd highlight it for any other fly-tipping haters.

Thanks for that, Jane2. I was aware of FixMyStreet but didn't realise you can also use it to report fly-tipping. A Walls ice cream freezer seems to have mysteriously materialised on Sunderland Road (where the heck from?????)...

Upon closer inspection I noticed a brass plaque stating that it was officially unveiled recently to commemorate the cessation of 'Ice Cream Wars'.

The same app is now just called "love clean streets". It's identical to the old one, but works more widely across London I think.

I just downloaded the app and have tested it out. It will be interesting to see it if brings about any action on the part of Lewisham Council.

The ice cream freezer that mysteriously appeared two weeks ago has been carted off by Lewisham's fly-tipping team three days after I posted it on FixMyStreet.com! Thumbup

I posted some flytipping on there on Friday afternoon and it was collected Sunday morning. Impressive.
