Keith has sadly passed away but has left his carpentary mark on many shops and houses in FH including my sweet shelves and booth tables. I'm very sad to hear he passed at the age of 58 and hope all support the benefit for his funeral which I'll have more info about soon :-(

Keith was a good bloke. He had great character and was always smiling and polite.

He lost his father and best friend, Ben, a couple of years ago, and, although he kept his head up and did his best to find local odd jobs to keep himself busy, he was always looking for his only remaining comfort in a pint of beer.

I saw him a few weeks ago looking distinctly yellow showing the inevitability that his health had taken a rapid turn for the worse and, eventually, as I understand it, he was found dead by someone checking his room last weekend.

It's a real shame to see such a nice man go like that but I really hope there's an after-life so he can be with his dad again.

RIP Keith x

Fundraiser and benefit will be at "The Bird In Hand" times to be confirmed.

Keith spent a lot of time here over the last couple of years (re Anotherjohns post) so that's why I think this has been chosen.

I hope all that can attend can come and contribute on the night regardless if they use this establishment or not.

An auction will now take place on the night which I'm happily taking on so will start around 8pm when I finish work.

Items so far from local traders with shop fronts and online today are:

Pair of XLTechnique 2.5lb 12ft Carp Roads and Matching XLT 5000 Freespool Reels RRP £100

Cut and finish from Mirror Mirror

Bundle of fab hair products from Mirror Mirror

Sugar Mountain as a party venue any Sunday 4 till 6pm. normal price £175

If anyone wants to add to this please let me know.

Thanks so much

Pauline x
