I have two of these for sale as seen in the pictures. No idea what brand, they are extendable so fit various widths. They are made of wood. Again, no idea of what type of wood, other than the type you get from a tree.

One has some wood (also from a tree) which is still attached to attach it to a stair post (stair post no longer attached, thankfully).

The doors open both ways and work for both going ups and down stairs and can even stop them from entering places like 'the kitchen', which will essentially mean they stand there crying until you come and open it, or they use it like the net at Wimbledon while throwing their toys over it, creating a fluffy toy dam.

My little darling is now able to open these. He worked it out on his own (he's 3ish) so I removed them along with all the drawer cupboard catches which made me curse every time I went to open a drawer. God, how I hated those things.

So to cut a long story short, we no longer need these. Hopefully they will be of some use to someone else.

Hopefully this a sign of impending child genius and my retirement is assured.
