The Young Lewisham Project, based in Forest Hill, is a registered charity set up in 1974 to provide young people aged 13 – 19 opportunities to engage in challenging vocational activities, learn new skills and gain accreditation in a safe environment. The programmes and workshops are run and managed by a small team of dedicated staff and volunteers.
Our Bicycle Group are servicing and refurbishing donated bicycles that will be sent to young people in Malawi. They will then use the bikes to get to school as there is no public transport in the countryside and they often have many miles to walk to school. Money raised will help to buy spare parts and tools to be sent with the bikes.
MediCinema is a charity dedicated to bring the power of cinema to patients
across the UK. We build, install and manage state of the art cinemas, screening the latest releases, in hospitals and health facilities, free of charge. We do this so patients can enjoy the excitement and escapism that a trip to the cinema brings to each of us.
We accommodate patients in beds, wheelchairs, on drips or monitions so that everyone can enjoy our 'cinematherapy' in this safe, stimulating environment.
