Strange, we had a similar problem in Thorpewood a few weeks ago, a few days after it being reported and royal mail saying there wasn't a problem, the post started arriving as normal

I have checked with my neighbours and none of us have received anything this week. I am waiting for some really urgent post.
It is interesting that you have had a similar problem.

It may be that your postie cannot find you.

I was walking past the sorting office one day. A postie came out and asked me "Where is Stanstead Road?"

Have had similar problem - Honor Oak Road, Fairlawn School end of the road.

Over the last 2 months there have been at least 4 or more occasions when we have not had post for 3 days or more and then it all arrives i.e. bundle of letters together as compared to one or two letters every day. The most recent period when we got no letters for 4 days was between 11th and 14th May & then 8 letters arrived on the 15th May.

I would say there has definitely been a problem over the last 2 months.

This is ridiculous isn't it. All my daughter's school friends received a lovely letter from their teacher on Tuesday saying how fab they were and how much he would miss them. It is all over snap chat and my little girl has not had the letter YET. More urgently I am waiting for bills.
Something is going very wrong. I have raised it with Royal Mail. Let's see what happens.

Paul Upex. LEWISHAM COUNCILLORS Hello?

My husband informed me that we did actually get post yesterday albeit at 4pm (!) but thats been all since Saturday.

A few weeks ago I received my bank card three weeks after I ordered a new one - I complained to the bank who advised that it was posted three days after I ordered it. Ive been waiting on other things and have received some things ten days after the postmark. I sent a cheque a few weeks ago and it just turned up with a letter saying ' not suitable for air mail'. I didnt send it airmail! The local service seems to be in dissarray.

Ros We have had nothing at all since Saturday.I saw a Royal Mail postman on a motorbike deliver to your side of the street late yesterday afternoon and expected a delivery to our side of the street which never happened. This is ridiculous and not fulfilling the obligations of the Royal Mail Charter(?)

Why am I looking out for a post man and watching him go up the street and disappear?? This is a farce not a service

I joined a very long queue at the sorting office to find out where the post is. I said I had not had any post for a week and was informed it was only since Tuesday!( Great!) Apparently ...' the job is a mess' I picked up all my post. At least it wasn't lost. Not really fulfilling a postal service though.

No post for Ewelme there- they said it was all out on delivery. Just got home and nothing here yet and no sign of any post people in surrounding streets as Ive just driven round. We ll see. Deliveries at 4pm are also ridiculous but I suppose better than nothing at all but I would have thought 4pm was outside normal shift times.

No doubt this is linked to the Royal Mail sell off. We can look forward to more of the same in the next five years then.

Saw a red postal van today at 2pm on Honor Oak Road, next to Fairlawn School, postman came out of van with two large bundles of post, locked the van & is distributing them somewhere along here .....

Just had the second delivery of the day (blimey) actually second in 90 minutes by a gentleman who I shall best describe as a ' senior' - at least 60- who looks as if hes struggling a bit up our hill. Feeling a little guilty now. Have they been forced out of retirement?

Midlife seems we ve done the trick. Still no required communication from my bank however.

I had a post office notice through the post last month saying that the delivery round in the area was changing and to expect changes eg frequency and time of day. Was worried that my postie's job may have been at stake but have seen him since albeit later in the day than normal.

Received post yesterday but some key communications are clearly missing for the second time. A cheque book arrived a few weeks ago having spent three weeks i in the postal system- a long time giving it plenty of opportunity to get mislaid.
Becoming suspicious now. Also posted a next day signed for letter on Saturday morning at Forest Hill WH Smiths which still hadnt arrived yesterday evening; £7.00. Something is going seriously wrong locally.
