Hi all. Has anyone noticed a bad drain smell around Forest Hill station and Dartmouth Road recently? At times when the wind changes direction it's quite strong.

Last time this occurred the explanation given was that chemicals were being used on the station platform to melt the ice.

I noticed a foodie bad smell along by back of station - probably a - sewer lard mountain from Morleys and the other takeaways along there.

I have just walked down the stairs at HOP station where there were a few left over tiny balls of salt at the bottom of the stairs. I crushed a few, and can confirm that the fishy smell of ammonia comes from this salt.

They ABSOLUTLEY SINK.Thumbdown

It is ammonia - used in preference to salt because it's less corrosive.
