hi, i am thinking about a flat share at the top of taymount rise.
i looked at the crime stats for that area and am a bit worried, there seems to be a lot of violent and car crime and antisocial behaviour.
also there are alot of corners, alleys and bushes where people could lurk. i dont want to not feel safe where i am living.
does anyone here have any experience with the area?

Hi thiscat, ive always found Taymount to be pretty safe and a good road to live in, the views [ if you buying a property at the top ] are amazing.

Show me a road/street that has zero crime in London - not sure that one even exists

I'll second that sentiment from ForestHillier.

I live at the top of Taymount Rise and couldn't be happier. Not experienced a problem in 2 years I have lived there and it is always a pleasure to leave the house in the morning to the peace and quiet of our hill-top oasis.

I live on Taymount rise too, and often come home late from work as a lone female.
Yes there are lots of alleys and bushes but its a surprisingly busy road and I've never encountered a problem.

I live just off Taymount Rise and having lived in Haringey, Tottenham, Finsbury Park and Nunhead I can safely say Forest Hill is probably the safest place I have lived in, in London. I've been here for 8 years now and never felt unsafe walking up from the station
