Looks like you're in for a world of pain this morning. This from the National Rail website:

Quote:
A signalling problem at London Bridge is causing delays of up to 25 minutes to Southern services travelling to and from the station. These delays are expected to continue until approximately 09:15.

You can follow this incident using the hashtag #LondonBridge

To check your journey, please use the National Rail Enquiries real-time Journey Planner

I might add that at least 2 inbound trains are showing as delayed by more than 25 minutes...

Just seen this (I am aware that there was a Twitter post earlier last week about some changes but these seem more severe).

It's worth noting that will it appears Forest Hill will have a much improved evening service, those returning West Croydon trains from LB will be reduced from 10 carriages to 8. Yet to compensate all of the Victoria peak services will be 10 car.

Both my inbound and outbound trains yesterday were only 4 carriages, it was squishy to say the least. With that in mind could I implore people with back packs to take them off before getting on a packed train.

"could I implore people with back packs to take them off before getting on a packed train."

And not to turn round quickly!

The 5:53pm yet again without a driver and being run fast to Crystal Palace.

This is a recurring theme - the driver gets delayed on another service, making him late for the 5:53 and thus playing catch up. Now there is a very obvious solution to this non? Employ more drivers

The frustration is that I have been taking alternative routes but needed to get back quicker than using the London Victoria service. I have only used this route on 5 occasions in the past few weeks and 3 times this has happened.

804 Honor Oak Park to Clapham Junction has not even reached Balham after 70 minutes. Sigh. I calculated the trains have been late by more than 5 minutes over 33% of times since New Year. Cancelled around 20% of times.

So today there has been a lineside fire at NXG taking out the Overground and electrical supply problems at Clapham Junction accounting for the 70 min delay described above (see: http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/service_di...95974.aspx)

None of which has anything to do with London Bridge.

Frustrating I know, and these things shouldn't happen as often as they do, but I don't think turning this into a general "train whinge" at the expense of focussing on London Bridge (which is better lately, but far from perfect) is a good thing.

Sorry I spoke! And I don't have the same experience that London Bridge Services have improved. That may be a whinge but I wasn't aware SE23.com was restricted to a particular user's journey experiences. I make no apologies for these profiteers who are making more money out of the chaos and have no incentive to do anything about it.

In no way am I suggesting that you shouldn't post about it. I'm just suggesting to start a new thread is all. And I most definitely am not suggesting that I set the rules - I don't.

Some people have been stuck on a train near Clapham Junction for four hours!

All due to what happened earlier today near Clapham Junction.

Let's hope that manage to run the timetable that they published after five extra months to try to sort it out.
I might treat myself to a seat on the train by taking this route home.

17.38 seems to be running fine. Shame about the 17.20 and no trains at canada water.
Not my favourite journey home this evening.

There were no Overground trains at West Croydon this evening.

Didn't have the best commute home either, but the delays were due to someone having a heart attack whilst on one of the Overground trains, which kinda made me think that things could be worse than being stuck in a tunnel for 40 minutes.

Is the 0912 to London Bridge been four carriages all week? Southern on Twitter claim it's now a 4 car train since the timetable change.

With the odd exception I think we have seen remarkably good performance on the trains in the last few weeks since the timetable changes.

Admittedly some of the journeys into London Bridge take 24 minutes rather than the 13 minutes that it used to take, but at least the trains are running on time a bit more often, and generally we have four trains per hour in the evening from London Bridge, and the weekend engineering works have been less bothersome.

Apologies for the lack of ranting.
