There is an application for demolition of a bungalow in Westwook Park to build nine (yes 9!) 3 story houses. There is a small clearing of land next to the bungalow, but this development is clearly over the top and out of all proportion with the neighbouring houses which it will dwarf. In addition this is yet again another request to DEMOLISH an existing 1930's building in the estate that is typical of the 1930's. We need to put a stop to this greedy over development and destruction of our streets. If you agree, please email geoff whitington with your concerns and disapproval.

I agree 100% evevry where you turn in SE23 the density is increasing.
There seems to be no consideration of quality of life , where these people are going to work etc.
I will mail as you suggest.

The response from the Forest Hill Society can be viewed at http://foresthillsociety.blogspot.com/20...-park.html
We would urge local residents to submit their views to the council, but the deadline is today , so you may wish to copy some or all of what we have said, especially if you agree.

Although today is the date by which Lewisham have invited comments to be sent, objections sent after today but while the application is still being considered must also be taken into account by the Council.

That's fantastic news, but be prepared for the next application to be made on the same site.
