On a personal note, if you've never been to a storytelling event, I'd recommend you give it a try. I helped this group a bit with their website, and got two complimentary tickets to a performance last year. It was interesting - a bit, I imagine, as a folk club might be, not that I go much to them. In fact, the story telling, when the performer picked up a guitar, pretty well was folk song, of the traditional ballad type. Cue another Joan Baez song, which I also enjoyed last night
