Just seen the old Pedders is due to become an Aveda Salon. Thats hair to those who aren't sure. Good luck, but......it might take some time to get going because we already have plenty of hairdressers here and possibly Aveda type clients might already have their local (or not so local) favourites??? Whatever next, a SpaceNK?

Blimey. I go to the Aveda salon in Covent Garden, but that's because of a particular stylist.

If it's a 'lifestyle' salon, it will do massages and beauty treatments too. Is that unit not a bit small, though?

Wow! Unfortunately out of my price range for regular visits, but I go to an Aveda salon in Blackheath as an occasional treat (& presumably they'll sell Aveda products which are divine!)

Hurrah - Have been traipsing over to Clapham to get my hair cut ever since I moved here over 10 years ago - no more!

Brilliant news! The salon I currently use in Forest Hill charges Aveda prices, but is nowhere near Aveda standards or experience. I will be camping outside the front door for an appointment!Cool

Same, very excited.

From the signage it looks like it will only be hair, not other beauty treatments which is a shame. I guess the unit isn't big enough to offer both though.

Hope it opens soon, my greys are getting out of hand!

Not been, but went to their salon in ladywell a few times and wasn't impressed. But that was a while ago and they must be doing something right by now to open a second salon...

Yep, went last weekend and had a good experience.

Great haircut, good coffee and a natter. I'll definitely go back.

My girlfriend went last week and absolutely raved about it, said it was about time had a bad experience with the other hairdressers.

I personally get my haircut by my mum still, and I'm 25!

I went last week and I was very happy with my cut and highlights. The best colour I've had in a long time and rectified the problems with the last colour I had at my previous expensive ED salon.

It is a small space and I didn't particularly like being by the window, but all in all I'm happy to have a good salon here (this is based on poor experiences at other FH salons previously)

Great news!
I'll give it a go then, Yes I too am a bit self conscious about being sat in the window for all to see but For a great cut and colour I'll be brave!

Hi all,
Thanks for the lovely feedback, our team will be delighted. We've really enjoyed our first few weeks in Forest Hill and we've been made to feel so welcome by the locals who've visited us and other businesses.
Should you have any other feedback for us, please don't hesitate to email me at simon@geddeshairandbeauty.co.uk as we'd love to hear from you.

@nottinghillbilly: We'd love you to come and try us and please feel free to mention to us on booking you'd prefer to be sat away from the window. We'll reserve a seat for you towards the back of the salon.
Best wishes,
Simon

I'm more a £9 barber cut with a number 2 with the trimmers type of man, although the hairdressers I've seen as I've walked past have just come off the catwalk!

I went and had a cut and colour on Friday. I had a great time - I was made to feel very welcome and the colour was excellent. A couple of coffees, a seat away from the window, a good chat and good selection of magazines! The two people I met were really lovely people - both one of the owners and my stylist. I will definitely be going back!
