(to chop wood...)

My neighbours will be delighted that I am finally shelling out to clear my skip-like front patio and have a proper wall built...however, I need someone with a chainsaw to plough through all of the old beams and tree trunks I've collected to feed my fireplace this winter.

If anyone knows anyone, or has a chainsaw and is bored this week, I reckon about £10-£12/hr is market rate?

Appreciate any leads. Or p**staking about how incredibly middle class this post is. As long as it is kindly p**staking. Thanking-kindly...

Anyone who 'collects' tree-trunks deserves a bit of respect, not p***-taking. Do you hang around in woods waiting for trees to fall over, then heft them home on your back?

Or stalk (faint pun attempted...) likely gardens and nick branches?

No, a nice lady on another SE forum is giving me an old chopped up tree from her garden. I think she sees it as clearing rubbish, but it'll save me a fortune :-)

Wouldn't it be nice to trawl woods though...sigh...
