Cycling into/through central London

Well it's a start but I'm not sure I would bother using it anyway (I currently cycle up through Honor Oak, Brockley, Nunhead and Peckham to get the Bricklayers Arms roundabout and then on to the City).

With regard to the proposal itself the baffling thing to me seems to be that the route begins AFTER the Elephant & Castle roundabout. I think I have heard there are some plans to modify the roundabout itself for cyclists so perhaps that is kept separate from this consultation, but the key thing is that this is the Number 1 location for cyclist fatalities in London and it's getting across the roundabout safely that is the key issue - so it's no good starting this new safe route after the roundabout - it needs to start before.
