The HOP cafe which is branded both McLarens and Coffee Bay on the corner of Brockley Rise and Honor Oak Park was locked up today with fridges on the pavement directly outside.

No signs in window to indicate why.

Does anybody know if they have closed for good? Or is it just a refurb/holiday?

Was it any good? Must confess I've never tried it. Always seemed quite busy with numerous gents sitting inside the two outer "rooms" (cabanas?)..

They did/do have good coffee, paninis and breakfasts.

Wasn't brill. Slightly dirty, very scruffy, lots of smokers outside. Food just about okay. Won't be missed. I haven't been in for years - went a few times and it wasn't for me.

Agree with poster above. Went recently and it was very average indeed.

I've always found this place decent. It is also open again and seemed to be doing good trade this morning.
