Hello! My husband and I are in Forest Hill for Xmas day, and just wondered if anybody knew which pubs might be open nearby? Just for a drink, not dinner. We’ve had Christmases here before, but had always had plans- this year we don’t and are trying to think of things that just the two of us can do.

I’ve heard that the Signal is open, but I think that might be it for Forest Hill. A walk to Sydenham/ Crystal Palace/ East Dulwich etc could be nice. Or even a riverside pub we could uber to.

Thanks so much for your help!

The Honor Oak (St Germains Road) is I think open 12pm/6pm and along Brockely Rise the Brockley Jack 12 to 3pm for drinks; the General Napier may be open too.

The Greyhound at Sydenham Kirkdale is open 12 to 6pm. They are doing Christmas Day menu, so whether opening includes drink only not sure.

For a Spoons experience, the Moon and Stars at Penge is open.

I would check with the pub though before heading out - some may be booking only.
