Sorry to hear about this. At least you know the film works rather well to prevent a break in!
Sadly I guess this is why so many shops have ugly shutters which make the high street look so desolate in the evenings.

No worries Michael, in my eyes no one was hurt & that's what matters to me.

I'd never change to shutters & would highly recommend this film to everyone. It's much cheaper to install than shutters & much more attractive for the high street.

In terms of it being damaged even after this it's probably just the same in costs :-)

Looks like the the landlords of From the Forest have taken back control, according to a sign on the door

I believe that from the forest and the flats above were bought by our local minicab company forest hill cars

So, to clarify, FHC have bought the freehold? Or are they the new tenants? Might be relevant as to whether they've bought the property as an investment or are planning on occupying the site as (surprise, surprise) a minicab office.

Planning experts: would that require a change of use application? Would that be hard to come by or go through Lewisham Planning more or less on the nod?

bassett10, this is not true. Dr Mittle still owns the building & I have his contact details if anyone is interested in renting the shop

Suspect the cab office might have bought the old key cutter / shoe repair unit and flats above, as they were recently sold at auction.

Grateful, flattered, humbled, embarrassed - these are some of the things that I'm feeling right now.

I'm only a Landlord. It's not me who makes Forest Hill amazing; it's you lot out there. So thanks to you lot for making Forest Hill amazing!

Hahaha, sorry boss, but it's true

And I'm not your only shop tenant that thinks so, you do a lot for FH :-)

Just been confirmed that we're getting a Fishmonger/Greengrocer in FH, aiming to be open sometime in August!

Exciting

Been told someone has now taken on a new lease for what was "From The Forest" & it will be a coffee shop/cafe - that's all I know.

The Fishmonger/Greengrocer will be where "Distinguished Doors" was on Perryvale.

Fantastic news! Now we just need the off licence on Perry Vale to improve its wine offering (the beer selection is brilliant) and I will be a very happy bunny - Perry Vale side of Forest Hill is finally coming of age!
