Windmill pub on Kirkdale closing?

I've heard rumours that the Windmill pub is closing down and that it will be turned into a Sainbury's! Ohmy Surely this can't be a good thing given how close it would be to the Tesco and Costcutter on that stretch of rd. Is there any truth in this, does anyone know?
