There was a burglary in David's Road the night before last, via the front door. The door was shut and locked on a normal lock, but with no additional deadlock. Apparently the burglars used some device to open the door, despite the lock. The police say there have been a spate of these.

Thus, it seems, we need to be using a deadlock as well.
