#1. Blue Mountain Cafe

Made the mistake of allowing myself to be talked into giving this place another chance on the weekend. At least I now know my original judgement was correct.

I'm not sure I could even dignify it by labelling it 'style over substance'. The food was overpriced. The cup of tea that was included in the breakfast took about 15 minutes to arrive. My companion asked for her herbal tea to be topped up with a little more hot water. This it was, but rather than bring it back to the table it was left on the service counter for another 5 minutes or so until she gave up and went to retrieve it herself.

The rest of the breakfast then took about another 20-25 minutes to arrive, by which time what I hadn't drunk of the tea was pretty tepid. A skin had formed on the beans and the eggs were cold.

The staff were charmless and incompetent, standing around talking by the counter while the service went to ****. There seemed to be no recognition of any problem and their attitude was surly before you had even ventured any sort of complaint.

Don't even think of wasting your time and money there.

Over to you...
