Ideaal Art have an exhibition on at the library consulting on a new art installation for Forest Hill.

The consultation is in it's second week and is open until 11 December.

There are four artists being considered

  • Artmongers - 'Hop to the Horniman' - a series of engraved and painted paving slabs leading from the Station to the Horniman
  • Lubna Chowdhary - No title - Wall art along side of Energie Fitness looking like a family tree, relating to exhibits at the Horniman
  • Alma Tischler Wood - Sound Wall - Series of tiled panels with hidden words related to sounds of instruments at the Horniman (such as 'bang')
  • Joep Overtoom - The Journey - Series of six panels along wall between Energie Fitness and Sainsburys' car park. Panels will be based on African, Asian, Oceanic and American collections with two scenes of Forest Hill.

    Go along and have your say (before Friday!) The current favourite is Alma Tischler Wood. The library's opening hours are

    Monday 9am - 7pm
    Tuesday 9am - 8pm
    Wednesday 9am - 7pm
    Thursday 9am - 8pm
    Friday 9am - 7pm
