Hi
I'm wondering if anyone knows the species of the tall tree growing from the pavement at the rear of Kilmorie school on Elsinore road. It has the shape of a conifer but is deciduous. It has catkins and cones on the same twig. It looks like an Alder to me but its buds are not mauve and is nowhere near water that I am aware of.
Thanks
Nigel
