Is anyone else affected by the national Epipen shortage?

As a nut allergy sufferer I have found it increasingly difficult to get my prescription for my Emerade pen (replacement for the no longer used Epipen) and often end up trailing around multiple pharmacies trying to find one that actually stocks them. I also recently received a letter informing me that there are faults with the Emerade needle and that my pen may not even work (!), suggesting that I should have at least two on me at all times. Not only is this expensive but as they are so hard to locate it makes trying get two even more difficult.

Has anyone else had this experience or is it just me?

I am considering writing an article about my findings if this is a problem affecting a lot of people as there has been hardly any coverage or apparent solutions to the shortage.

Let me know!
