Halloween and Bonfire Night
As Halloween and Bonfire Night celebrations draw closer, we would like to remind residents to make sure things stay fun and safe for everyone.
Halloween
Please bear in mind that older and more vulnerable people in particular may find "trick or treating" intimidating. We would ask that you do not call at homes displaying a 'No trick or Treating' poster. I have attached a copy of this poster for you to print should you wish to display it in your window.
We can also supply you or a neighbour with a copy if you are unable to print them yourself. If this is the case, please call us on 020 8721 2723.
Bonfire Night
If possible, attend an organised display as these are generally very good value for money.
If you are having a private display, please follow the safety advice on the firework box.
Remember it is against the law to throw or set off fireworks in the street.
Please note the law restricts the times at which fireworks can be set off:
• You must not set off fireworks between the hours of 11pm and 7am.
• Exceptions to the above rule are:
Bonfire Night: The cut off time is midnight. New Years Eve, Diwali and Chinese New Year: The cut off time is 1am.
Pet owners
This can be stressful time of year for your pets but there is help available from a variety of organisations and of course, your own vet. Please see the following link to the RSPCA website for further advice.

Thanks for taking the time to read this message and we really hope you enjoy your celebrations.
