This lamp is like a fabulous giant anglepoise. It's very versatile because it works very well as a reading light from above, but it casts light wide enough to be a primary light source in a room or part of a room. It looks like a mid-century modern triffid.

It is in good condition and has only had light use. The base has some marks in a circular formation around the lighting mechanism; this is more or less inevitable because of the way the locking mechanism is situated.
