You Said, We Listened, We Did

Officers from Perry Vale and Forest Hill SNT responded to local residents complaints of anti-social behaviour (ASB) by local youths in the Hyndwood Estate SE23. After a short period of time, officers gathered intelligence to support a search warrant on a house which was the focus of this activity. This resulted in an arrest and eviction of the offender.

In response from directions from our ward panel, we conducted speed enforcement exercises on some of the main thoroughfares within Perry Vale. This gave us the opportunity to educate many motorists to remind them of their personal responsibility when carrying passengers and their obligation to follow the statutory speed limit. This will be an ongoing exercise.

During October officers have conducted crime prevention exercises outside Forest Hill railway station where they handed crime prevention leaflets to members of the public advising them of their personal safety, particularly when using their mobile phone in public.

On Friday 3rd October, officers from Perry Vale and Forest Hill SNT challenged 6 youths after a member of the public alleged they were smoking drugs. Crime Prevention Advice Over Halloween

While Halloween can undoubtedly be a great deal of fun, it can also be a particularly distressing time of year for some of the more vulnerable members of our communities - especially the elderly. Better still, why not just stay at home and have a Halloween themed party with your friends and neighbours.
