I have no issue with the figures in the newsletter. It was you that challenged them (although not directly with the authors).

Are you sure your data is correct and that's not just for one week?
The implication of the figures being four times as high gives the result of daily motor vehicle thefts in the ward.
I didn't intend to give an impression of daily thefts
But that is certainly the logical conclusion of the way you rejected the figures provided.
None of the figures support a plague of car thefts in SE23. Covid was a plague and impacted hundred of people per week in the ward, not seven people per month (and these figures include theft from motor vehicles as well as theft of motor vehicles). I'm not in favour of car thefts but I don't think this constitutes a plague.
