New information has appeared on the Lewisham Planning Portal in the last few weeks, dated early February 2025 in the form of a new non-material application to vary the original granted permission using reference DC/25/138887.
This appears to overtake information that the hotel development was being held in abeyance as the developers sought to vary the permission and build something else.
This matter was subject of confidential consultation with Lewisham planners and it had been subsequently learned had been rejected by those planners. The form of this consultation means its details will not be revealed by the council.
It would seem the owners are working once more on the design development stage of the scheme, still described as a building to accommodate an 89 bedroom hotel.
The time frames outlined in the original consent have long been overrun and it is uncertain what the planners view on this overrun is.
