I would like to at least see a slimmed-down monarchy like some other European countries, and for the Queen's relatives to earn their own money rather than receive from the Civil List.

Roz - in answer to your question about why we continue to do this without protest - I think people a) are innately conservative and b) are seduced by arguments that they bring in the tourists, are value for money etc.
