More good PR for Forest Hill in this week's Location programme - I spotted Horniman Museum and St David's cafes, the Hob, Manor Mount houses to name but a few. Kirsty and Phil seem to like us.

Phil seems particularly keen on Forest Hill and his advice about buying in the Forest Hill / Catford borders is in my opinion good advice as there are a number of properties for Catford money but that are a stones throw from Forest Hill.

I noticed they didn't show any properties in Forest Hill itself, with a budget of 200k for two-beds, and the flat in Sydenham was quite small. Yet one buyer managed to get house - yes a whole house - in Catford for the same budget. So yes, very good advice. And it was interesting that none of the buyer's London friends warned her off Catford. The fact that Forest Hill now has an centre with attractive businesses and a 'villagey' feel is a credit to both our new and existing traders and the efforts of Forest Hill Society. With th pools and the SEE3 projects, FH really does have a positive vibe at the moment.

Catford does seem to be a good medium to the longer term investment as in particular, Lewisham Council have acquired the head lease interest of the shopping centre (they already owned the freehold) and are planning a major redevelopment including Milford Towers.

Yes I've enjoyed the programme too.
And I thought... great! I can get a bigger flat in Catford...
but then I thought... Nah, I couldn't possibly leave FH... Not now!

Always a good sign when places near Forest Hill are called "Forest Hill Borders", as was the property in Catford.

Tweets from Kirstie Allsopp suggest more Location Location Location is planned for Forest Hill.

Is this the most popular place for LLL to find people properties? (I think this will be their 3rd or 4th trip).

A wise man once implied:
There are three important things to remember when buying a property: SE23, SE23, SE23.

And possibly interest from another TV show in our food fair this weekend, but it might not come to anything. But such rumours are always good Smile

Looks like the TV cameras will be coming to the market this Sunday for a brief piece featuring one of the traders.
