Looking to rent a 1 or 2 bedroom house/flat in the East Dulwich/Forest Hill area. Both myself and my partner will be in full-time employment and moving up from Reading. We have a small spaniel who's fully house trained so I hope this doesn’t prove too much of an issue. Ideally, something with outside access is best, so a ground floor with a garden or even patio space would be great.

Hoping to move mid-February early March time, with rent anywhere between £850-£1,200. Flexible with viewings if required. Furnishing: furnished or part-furnished.

Can provide both work and letting reference from our current landlord.

Any help, information or advice even would be very much appreciated! Thanks in advance, Steph.

Hello

As someone born and bred in Reading and that managed to escape a few years ago I would recommend that you will get much more for your money in Forest Hill.

I guess it depends on your age and where you are in your life. If you want kids in the next couple of years then Forest Hill has more to offer, but if you want bars and restaraunts then you will need to be closer to East Dulwich.

The East London Line/Brighton line offers more options than the East Dulwich line and if you live in between Forest Hill and Catford Stations then even more travel options open up.

Morning mgmonkey.

Firstly, thank you so much for taking the time to respond to my ad. Secondly, your advice is both very helpful and gratefully received.

On your recommendations, I will perhaps try focusing more on finding somewhere in Forest Hill.

All the best
Stephanie.
