Have spotted the Google car around Lewisham several times in last few days.

On its last visit not only did it take all the pretty pictures but also logged onto every wi-fi router where the security was not set correctly.

It then hacked into systems, stole passwords, emails and other personal information from attached pc's and laptops.

Google then lied to the ICO about the extent of data they had stolen.

Then Google US had to confess the real extent of their data trawl to the US authorities.

Our ICO is re-examining the British position.

I do recall that several people were vilified in the UK press about their resistance to allowing the Google vehicle down their street or into their village. How wise they were.

Meantime make sure your wi-fi security is set to its highest level.
