Maybe with this current cold spell and snow expected, we could knock at any oap neighbours we may have, just to check that they are warm and eating ok ?

But if you really want to do some "cold calling" (get it?) then don't do it after dark and remember to take a big bar of chocolate with you.
And perhaps a shovel and broom to clear the snow off the paths?

Maybe also better if you knock at doors where they know you, dont want to frighten the poor old soles.

Nice one with regards to shovel [ if the snow arrives that is, well expect it will as the BBC states it will rain ]
