Hello there,

Does anyone know what the dress code is at Horniman Primary School? My daughter will start school in September and I am about to buy her uniforms, but I can't remember which colour dress (grey, navy or black?) and shirt (white?) are required. I know that the jumpers must be navy colour.

Many thanks,

Cinzia

Hi, there is no uniform or colour specification, just a few rules about what the kids can't wear (crop tops etc)

Thanks for your reply! Yes, it is only optional, but I seemed to remember that it was quite a detailed dress code. It was specified in the registration forms (which I have returned to the school) but nowhere else in the information pack. I am going to be very creative in choosing my daughter clothes, then!

Hi, as stated there is no dress code at Horniman. My daughter likes wearing school uniform like clothes some days so we let her. Other days it jeans and a top with trainers. Horniman does sell clothes with the Horniman logo on them but these are casual wear like polo shirts and fleeces.

For those that do wear uniform (not the majority) I would say that the predominant colour is probably navy blue and white. School bag, fleece, coat and logo are navy too. Although as said above a lot of variety.

Thanks for all your posts. It's great to know that the Horniman Primary doesn't have a strict dress code. However, I have decided to give the uniform a try as my daughter is incredibly fussy about what she wears and I foresee endless struggles in the morning...
