On the junction between Westwood Park and Honor Oak Road. Anyone see what happened?

The angle at which it's been flattened suggests to my amateur sleuth skills that someone skidded approaching the junction coming down the steep slope of Westwood Park, slid across both lanes of Honor Oak Road and posted their car. Some force though. I've slid on this section too once or twice in the morning ice.

Scary for the house opposite the junction - which I suspect has been saved by the plucky red fella's heroism.

Nooooooo! No more of these hideous excrescences!!! Besides, their purpose is to stop people speeding, not to hold them on a hill.

I wonder if Ian's being mischevious.

Anyway, they're already there on Westwood Park. I was thinking it requires a different road surface there and at the bottom of Canonbie Road which is even steeper.

Yep, I was being mischevious.
You are right vipes, a non-skid surface would be good.

I noticed today that the forementioned pillar box is up for sale (via Foxtons or Wates) and has already been sold by Robert Stanford. Considering it is standing at an angle of about 60 degrees to the pavement this is certainly a property "in need of improvement". It also makes the former gents toilet in Devonshire Road look like a mansion. Such is the property market, eh?

On reflection, I think someone was just messing about last night.
So if you are missing a For Sale sign....
