------Infant Observation Opportunity - New and Expectant Parents------

Hi everyone 👋 I’m Lucie, an SE4 resident and qualified Early Years teacher, starting preclinical child psychotherapy training at UCL/Anna Freud Centre.

As part of my course, I’m looking for a family with a baby born in August/September/October 2025 to take part in an infant observation — 1 hour a week at home until the child is around 2.

It’s purely observational - I would be a quite, respectful presence whilst I observe how a baby develops whilst building my reflective and observational skills. I have an enhanced DBS check and university documentation.

Research shows it can also support bonding by offering space for parents to reflect on their baby’s mind and development.

I appreciate this may sound unusual and people may naturally have questions if they’re interested.

If you or someone you know might be interested, please do feel free to get in touch — I’d be more than happy to chat and share more details.

You can also contact the university for more info at earlydev@annafreud.org.
